What is a Home Inspection?

A home inspection is a restricted, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home by a certified home inspector. It is a consulting service that analyses and reports on the performance of a home. A visual inspection of the structure and components of the home is conducted to find items that are not performing correctly or are unsafe in the home. A descriptive report outlining any issues is written out and the inspector can recommend further evaluation. From examining the electrical outlets, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, roofing, insulation, ventilation, and the overall structural foundation and integrity of the home, nothing is overlooked.

A home inspection is commonly requested by the buyer, but can also be arranged by the seller prior to listing.
